MadeGood “Un-Wreck the Future” Contest (the “Contest”)

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

ELIGIBILITY: OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF, AND RESIDING IN, THE FIFTY (50) UNITED STATES AND DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (“U.S.”), AND CANADA (EXCLUDING QUEBEC), 13 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. VOID IN QUEBEC AND WHERE PROHIBITED. AN ELIGIBLE MINOR SHOULD HAVE A PARENT’S OR LEGAL GUARDIAN’S PERMISSION TO PARTICIPATE. Employees, temporary workers, freelancers and independent contractors, and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those persons living in their same households, whether or not related, of Riverside Natural Foods Ltd. (“Sponsor”), its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees, sponsors, promotional partners, advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to enter or win. By participating, entrants (and, if an eligible minor, their parent or legal guardian) agree to be bound by these official rules (“Official Rules”) and the decisions of Sponsor, which are binding and final on matters relating to this Contest. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state and local laws.

CONTEST PERIOD: Contest begins at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on August 18, 2021 and ends at 12:00 a.m. ET on September 30, 2021 (“Contest Period”).

HOW TO ENTER: During the Contest Period, visit www.unwreckthefuture.com and follow the directions to complete and submit the entry form, including a video of no more than :60 seconds telling us about how you’re making a difference in your community on the issue of food insecurity and why you need $1,000 in MadeGood bars (“Entry”). Video cannot include any recognizable individuals other than yourself. Limit one (1) Entry per person. If more than one (1) Entry is received from any person, only the first Entry will be considered, and all subsequent Entries will be void. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated or mechanical means or by any means which subvert the entry process will also be void. All Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

ENTRY RESTRICTIONS: Entry must be entrant’s own work product, may not have been previously published, may not have won previous awards, and must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity. Entries may not contain, as determined by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, any content that:

  • includes music;
  • is sexually explicit or suggestive;
  • is unnecessarily violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group;
  • is profane or pornographic;
  • promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing, or otherwise promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous;
  • promotes any particular political agenda or message, other than food insecurity;
  • is obscene or offensive, or endorses any form of hate or hate group;
  • defames, misrepresents or contains disparaging remarks about Sponsor, its products or services, or other people or companies;
  • contains copyrighted materials owned by others, without the Entrant having obtained permission, to the extent permission is necessary;
  • appears to duplicate any other submitted Entry;
  • contains materials embodying the names, likenesses, voices, personal information or other indicia identifying any person (living or dead), without permission, to the extent permission is necessary; and/or
  • violates any law.

By submitting an Entry, entrant (and, if an eligible minor, their parent or legal guardian) hereby grants permission for the Entry to be posted on Sponsor’s social media accounts and/or other Sponsor websites and otherwise used in accordance with rights granted below.

By submitting an Entry, entrant (and, if an eligible minor, their parent or legal guardian) understands that Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may disqualify the Entry for any reason, including if it determines the Entry fails to conform to these Official Rules in any way or otherwise contains unacceptable content.

USE OF ENTRIES/PUBLICITY GRANT: By submitting an Entry, entrant (and, if an eligible minor, their parent or legal guardian) hereby grants to Sponsor, its designees, successors, assigns and licensees a nonexclusive license to reproduce, distribute, display, perform, create derivative works based upon, or otherwise exploit the Entry and all elements embodied therein (including the photo and video), along with the name, biographical information, likeness, performance, voice or image of the entrant, in whole or in part, in any manner or media now known or hereafter devised throughout the world in perpetuity for advertising, promotional and other purposes, without further compensation, notification or permission. Entrant (and, if an eligible minor, their parent or legal guardian) agrees that Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for any unauthorized use of Entries by third parties. Sponsor has no obligation to make use of the rights granted herein.

WINNER DETERMINATION: Following the conclusion of the Contest Period, a qualified panel of judges selected by Sponsor will judge all eligible Entries received based on the following equally weighted criteria:

  • How clear is their concept?
  • How will it make a difference?
  • How was their submission presented? (the “Criteria”).

The top twelve (12) Entries from entrants in the United States and the top twelve (12) Entries from residents in Canada will be deemed the potential winners. In the event of a tie in the U.S. or Canada, a tie-breaker judge will judge the tied Entries using the Criteria to determine the winner(s). Chances of being selected as a potential winner depend on skill in meeting the Criteria. Sponsor reserves the right to not award all prizes for the U.S. or Canada if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Entries for the applicable country. All decisions of the Sponsor and judges are final and binding. Sponsor will not reveal the judging scores for any Entry.

WINNER NOTIFICATION: Potential winners will be notified by phone and/or email and will have twenty-four (24) hours to respond to the initial notification. Potential winners (and, if eligible minors, their parents or legal guardians) will be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility/declaration of compliance, a liability release, and, where lawful, a publicity release within the time period specified by Sponsor in such prize notification. If all documents are not returned within the specified time period, the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or a potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, the prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate potential winner may be notified. A potential winner is not the official winner, even if such potential winner’s name is announced publicly until their eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules is verified by Sponsor.

PRIZE (24) (12 FOR THE U.S. AND 12 FOR CANADA): USD$1,000 in MadeGood bars. Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied, unless prohibited by law. Winner may not substitute, assign or redeem the prize for cash, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute the prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value. Winner is responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes), as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Limit one (1) prize per person.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: By participating, entrants (and, if an eligible minor, their parent or legal guardian) agree that the Sponsor, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees, sponsors, promotional partners, prize suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prize or participation in this Contest. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, undelivered or garbled Entries or email or other communications of any kind; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (“ISP”), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the judging of Entries, the announcement of the prize or in any Contest-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computers related to or resulting from participation in this Contest or downloading materials from or use of the related website. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Contest or related website, who are in violation of these Official Rules or who act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated Entries will be void. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest at any time and for any reason, including, but not limited to, if any portion of the Contest becomes, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries, and, if terminated, in its discretion, to select the potential winners from all eligible, non-suspect Entries received prior to such action being taken using the winner determination process set forth above or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. In the event of a dispute regarding Entries received from multiple users having the same email account, the authorized subscriber of the email account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. “Authorized account subscriber” shall be the natural person who is assigned the email address by the ISP, on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses. Sponsor reserves the right to conduct an alternative test of skill to comply with applicable law. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

DATA COLLECTION/USE: Entrants will automatically be enrolled to receive emails from Sponsor. Any information provided shall be used by Sponsor in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, available at www.unwreckthefuture.com. Entrants can opt-out of receiving future emails from Sponsor at any time by following the directions provided in any such email.

WINNERS LIST: For the names of the winners (first name, last initial and state/province of resident), send an email to: UNWRECKTHEFUTURE@GMAIL.COM, for receipt no later than 30 days after the end of the Contest.
