I can’t recommend The Seeds of America Trilogy enough! I picked up the boxed set and couldn’t put it down until I finished all three books! Chains, Forge, and Ashes had me completely engrossed in the story of Isabel and Curzon’s journey during the Revolutionary War. The writing was captivating and the characters were so well-developed that I felt like I was right there with them. I have to give a huge shoutout to Chains for being such a strong first book in the trilogy. It set the stage perfectly for the rest of the series.

What an amazing trilogy! I was hesitant to start reading it because I typically don’t enjoy historical fiction, but man was I pleasantly surprised. The Seeds of America Trilogy has everything you could want in a book – adventure, drama, romance, and even some humor sprinkled in there. My favorite book out of the three has to be Ashes. As someone who has personally experienced sexual assault, I can confidently say that Laurie Halse Anderson’s novel, “Speak,” is a necessary read for all teenagers.
